of Pierre Bayle's "Dictionnaire historique et critique"
- This study of the Dictionaire Historique et Critique
by Pierre Bayle, now translated in English, will be published
soon by APA-Holland University Press. The book also contains
a detailed chronology of the work on the Dictionnaire
undertaken by Bayle and his publisher Leers, a list of the contributions
from Bayle's informants arranged by name, an overview of the
internal references in the Dictionnaire and a list of
all the sources used by Bayle, complete with detailed references
to where they can be found in the Dictionnaire. These
latter two appendices are supplied on CD-ROM.

- Two new anthologies of Bayle's Dictionary are to appear:
one is edited by J.-M. Gros, and will be included in a collection
directed by Antony McKenna (publisher: Champion,
Genève-Paris; for more information, contact Antony
McKenna). The other anthology is a spanish traduction of
some articles with an introduction by Sergio Landucci, due to
appear next spring (publisher: Circulo de lectores, Barcelona).
